On Wednesday
10th June 6 girls from year 5 represented the school in a 4 aside
competition. The tournament took place at Hollywood school and was a round
robin event.
The girls started the tournament off
with a match against ST Martins and despite having lots of chances the girls
were unfortunate to lose 3v1.
Next they played against Hollywood
and again played very well. This time they did take some of their chances and
won the game 2v0.
Finally, they played against Anderton
Park who had lost their previous two matches. Chilcote tried their best but
they just could not get their game going. The girls looked tired at this point
and unfortunately went on to lose the game 4v0.
The heavy defeat in their final game
meant that Chilcote finished bottom on the night courtesy of their poorer goal
difference.
The girls did really well considering
this was their first tournament together, and for some of them it was their
first competitive match, well done to all!!!
