Year 3 and 4 Quadkids Tournament

On Wednesday 10^th June 8 children from Chilcote took part in a Quadkids athletics tournament. The tournament took place at Kings Norton Girls School. All of the children competed in 4 events and tried to get the best time/distance that they could. The 4 events were: the foam javelin, 50m sprint, 400m run and standing long jump.

The children started off with the 50m sprint race and did well, coming close to their opponents in every race. After that, we did the javelin and the children tried their best but struggled to get the distance with the foam javelins. Next, we had the 400m and the children did really well with one of the boys finishing in 2^nd and two of the girls finishing 2^nd and 3^rd in their race! Finally, we had the standing long jump and all of the children managed to improve from their first jump to their last jump.

Out of 9 schools the children of Chilcote finished in 7^th place, which was a good achievement.

Well done to all of the children for a great performance and for doing really well in the tournament!
